Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Major Work Area: Maintenance. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement. Equipment and Machinery Experience: Welding equipment. Tool grinders. Pumps and compressors. Power tools. Hand tools. Gas and air dryers. Fans and blowers. Conveyor. Power transmission system. Hydraulic system. Pneumatic system. Experience: Experience an asset. Additional Skills: Supervise other workers. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Coach and instruct apprentices. Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Welding Techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW). Flux core arc welding (FCAW). Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG). Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Specific Skills: Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Construct foundations for machinery. 
Installing machinery and equipment. Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation). Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Security and Safety: Criminal record check. Work Site Environment: Confined spaces. At heights. Noisy. Odours. Dusty. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure.
