ISLAMABAD : Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday declared the winners from the second balloting of bills issued through Point of Sales (POS) that are used by Tier-1 retailers.

Muhammad Aslam has been declared as the winner of a bumper prize valued at Rs 1 million for the draw in which he was declared winner. The bill for the prize came from a the Tier-1 retailer i.e. Naheed Super Market.

The revenue authority also announced Syed Asim Ali and Asad Naeem Chaudhry to be the winners of the second prize of Rs500,000 each.

The FBR announced four names as the winners of the third prize worth Rs 250,000 each. The winners of the third prize include Muhammad Amir, Syed Ali Yawar, Mubashir Aftab Sheikh and Iftikhar Hussain.

The FBR advised people to take part in voting to be eligible to win prizes when they purchase at POS connected retailers.

The FBR had previously issued a process to participate to the scheme for prizes.

The revenue body announced that customers of integrated retailers of tier-1 that have their names and CNICs have been notified by random computerized draws, will be eligible for prizes for their purchases made at the retailers that are integrated into tier-1. Customers must verify the electronic invoices of integrated retailers using”tax asaan” or the “tax asaan” application or by sending an SMS to the number 9966.

The application will notify the user of whether the invoicing is, either with the status of “verified” or “unverified”.

If there is a valid invoice, the client must submit one time the following details to the system online that is: Name, CNIC and mobile number.

The names and CNICs of customers will be part of the draw of random computers following satisfaction of the requirements.

In the event of an unauthentic invoice, the buyer must submit the invoice to the system. The Board will investigate and take appropriate action according to the law’s relevant provisions.

The draw computerized for prizes will be held during the beginning week of each month, at the FBR headquarters and the invoices for the preceding month will be included in the draw.

Winners of the draw will be required to submit biometric verification at the nearest e-sahulat center of NADRA and submit a scan photocopy of the “tax assan” application. After successful verification of biometrics the winners are required to submit their IBAN on the “tax asaan” application.

The amount of the prize and the value of the prizes will be determined on a monthly on a monthly basis, by the Board.
