Description

Robert Half currently has a long-term contract / temporary to hire position open for an experienced, organized Staff Accountant at a dynamic, growing organization. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will hold responsibility over many aspects of internal reporting. You will provide support in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This very involved position works to produce Cash Flow projections, Financial Statements, and Budgets. Your responsibilities


– Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested


– Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation


– Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation


– Be a part of various department-wide initiatives


– Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP


– Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules


– Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

– Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management


– Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision


– Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll


Requirements

– Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills


– Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills


– Competent with spreadsheets and databases


– 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience


– ERP system experience


– High attention to detail


– Vow to meet business deadlines


– Spreadsheet and database capabilities


– QuickBooks experience


– Self-starter and strong ethical standards


– BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics


– Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
