Moody applauds Coldplay, calls for a focus on the concert economy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the great success in Coldplay in Mumbai and Ahmedabad is a testament to the huge capabilities of India on the live performances.

Coldplay recently made waves in India with five parties in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The British band added an additional layer of excitement by broadcasting its final performance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmed Abad on the Republic.

“You must have watched the wonderful pictures of the Coldplay party in Mumbai and Ahmedabad,” Modi said in a letter during Odisha Odisha.

The Prime Minister said: “The big international artists are increasingly attracted to India … I urge the governmental and private sectors to invest in infrastructure and the required skills.”

Coldplay started their Indian tour on January 18 in Mumbai, with additional offers on January 19 and 21. The final in Ahmed Abad was achieved from January 25 to 26, set a new record, drawing 2.5 Lakh, including 1.7 visitors to the Googists.

With more than 1.34 people at the Narindra Modi Stadium for the final performance, the Coldplay show has become the largest concert in India, bypassing the previous records of the audience that stars such as Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and even Michael Jackson.
