Islamabad: The federal government merged the Ministry of Aviation with the Ministry of Defense, which canceled the status of another ministry according to its rights plan to reduce the expenses of the states.
The Ministry of Defense issued a letter related to integration to notify the development of all ministries and departments after the completion of the implementation of legal regulatory orders (SROS) presented by the Cabinet Department on February 4.
The letter, which was sent to all the provincial trustees, including senior officials of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit in Pentestan (GB), said that the Ministry of Defense should be dealt with all the future aviation issues.
Through this merger, the current government was looking to save 145 million rupees annually.
The decision was taken last month after the federal government refused to propose to establish a separate transport department by integrating flights, railways and communications.
The administration of the Prime Minister, which is led by Chipaz, received a new recommendation on January 10 to integrate the Ministry of Aviation with the Ministry of Defense, which was running airline issues in the past until 2013, and more compatible with the strategic goals as part of the rights definition program.
The federal government formulated a program to achieve rights by canceling the various ministries and their attached departments to reduce expenditures and improve the government’s efficiency.
In January, Minister of Finance, Mohamed Oranquit, pledged the rights of 42 ministries and 400 departments attached by June 30 of the current fiscal year, adding that the Rights Determination Committee will reduce 80 institutions to half.
By exchanging performance for a period of six months, the High Energy Cabinet Committee on the definition of rights, Uranzib said that the government decided to bring five or six sections under rights at each stage.
“60 % of the vacant regular jobs – which did not come in salary statements – that amounted to 150,000 have been canceled or declared as death functions, creating a real financial impact,” he said.
The minister recalled that efforts were previously made to reduce the size of the federal government, adding that they are trying to reduce the spending of the 900 billion federal government.
He said, according to the 1st wave, six ministries, including the Kashmir and Gilgit case in Time, Safron; Information and Communications Technology; Industries and production; National health services regulations and coordination; The Capital Development Authority (CAD) has been treated.
After that, the government also began examining five other institutions – the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Poverty and Social Safety, the Revenue Department, the Petroleum Department and their attached departments – in order to define rights.
