Stelantis, the parent company of Chrysler, calls for more than 63,000 Jeep Cherokee due to problems with vehicle PTUS units, according to the National Road Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The summons is dedicated to Jeep Cherokee from 2017 to 2019.
“PTU) may be damaged and separated by transmission and differential gear, which leads to the loss of engine power and/or loss of stop function,” explains the NHTSA website.
According to the NHTSA National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the loss of driving force not only increases the possibility of accidents, but the loss of the stop function “can cause an unintended car to overturn, which may increase the risk of an accident or injury” .

The agency indicated that the treatment is still “under development.” The notification messages will be sent to the owners affected by the mail on February 13.
Last year, Chrysler summoned 338,238 Jeep Grand Cherokee due to a steering wheel problem that represents a great threat to safety.
The recalls are related to models from 2021 to 2023 for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L and the models from 2022 to 2023. Jeep Grand Cherokee Vehicles.

In October, Chrysler also summoned about 150,000 electric jeep cars due to “a fire risk during its corner or driving.”

Drivers can also call Stellantis customer service on the number 1-800-853-1403 with a reference summons code 01C.
