We are seeking a skilled and detail- oriented Carbon Fiber Technician to join our automotive team. The technician will be responsible for the layup, molding, curing, and finishing of carbon fiber components used in high- performance applications. This role requires strong hands- on experience with composite materials, knowledge of industry best practices, and the ability to work in a fast- paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform carbon fiber lay- up operations using pre- preg, wet lay- up, or resin infusion techniques.
Operate and monitor curing ovens, vacuum bagging systems, and autoclaves.
Trim, sand, and finish carbon fiber parts to precise tolerances using hand and power tools.
Inspect completed components for defects or inconsistencies and ensure they meet quality standards.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Mix and apply epoxies, resins, and adhesives accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols and procedures.
Document work performed and materials used per internal tracking systems.
Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve fabrication issues or suggest process improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or vocational training in composites is a plus.
1–3 years of experience working with carbon fiber or other composite materials.
Strong understanding of composite fabrication processes and materials.
Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
Proficiency with tools such as sanders, grinders, cutting tools, and vacuum bagging equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.
