Job Description:
The Public Health Inspector promises a extensive form of environmental, public health and fitness merchandising applications thru session, education, inspection and enforcement packages inside an assigned geographical region. Established packages deal with fitness hazards in homes, water and sewage disposal structures, food premises and enforcement of tobacco control law. The Public Health Inspector is also required to put in force The Plumbing Regulations and The Private Sewage Works Regulations and ought to be able to interpret and follow regulation, provide consultation offerings to the general public and contractors and to conduct on-website online inspections at creation websites.
Education:
– Certificate in Public Health Inspection, Canada, CPHI(C) issued by means of The Board of Certification of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors
– Demonstrated protection of minimum requirements of the CIPHI Continuing Professional Competency Program
Experience:
– Experience operating as a Public Health Inspector is predicted
– Experience and training in Occupation Health and Safety is desired
– Experience and talent in commonplace pc software applications and Windows
– Experience and training in Public Inspection software program is favored
Other:
– Field Hours
– Preference for this function will be given to HSAS individuals in accordance with the phrases and situations of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority inside the Saskatchewan Health Authority could be considered beneath the Selection Criteria
– Valid class 5 motive force’s license
– Mobility/reasonable level of bodily health is needed to conduct inspections
