Internship Opportunity – Learning & Engagement (Education Outcomes Fund – EOF)

UNICEF works in some of the most challenging places in the world to protect children’s rights, save lives, and help every child reach their full potential. We never give up.

The Education Outcomes Fund (EOF) is one of UNICEF’s hosted funds. It was created by the Education Commission (chaired by Gordon Brown) and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (chaired by Sir Ronald Cohen). EOF’s mission is to improve education and employment opportunities for 10 million children and young people worldwide.

We do this by helping governments use innovative financing tools, like results-based funding and outcomes funds, to make sure money is spent only on what truly works. Our focus is on underserved groups, including girls, children with disabilities, refugees, and rural communities.

By measuring and paying for real results like literacy, numeracy, digital skills, and employability, we help close the gap between what young people learn and what employers need.

What the Internship Offers

As a Learning & Engagement Intern, you will be part of a team that is exploring new ways to improve education through outcomes-based financing (OBF). Your role will include:

  • Research & Knowledge Building: Support the creation of learning materials, technical briefs, and research on how OBF can improve education.
  • Engagement & Partnerships: Help the team manage relationships with partners and networks by joining calls, webinars, and documenting insights.
  • Community & Event Support: Assist with planning and logistics for events, researching stakeholders, and mapping networks in the fields of early education, basic schooling, and skills for employment.

This internship is a chance to work in a fast-growing, mission-driven organisation where you’ll take on real responsibility, gain valuable experience, and be part of a supportive team that values growth and professional development.
