OpenAI’s ChatGPT is currently down for thousands of users around the world. According to outage tracking site Downdetector, the issue started around 5 p.m., with users reporting they were unable to access the chatbot.
Affected users trying to access ChatGPT via its website encounter a “Bad Gateway” error, preventing them from logging in.
Downdetector had 4,396 user reports at 5:19 p.m.
“We are currently investigating this issue,” reads a message on the OpenAI status page. The company said it is working to solve the problem.
