The Frontier Works Organization is a Military-owned Engineering company that has been working towards the development of Pakistan since the year 1966. It is a construction company operated by the military using modern equipment and distinctive methods of engineering.
Frontier Works Organization operates under the continuous oversight and guidelines that are governed by the Government of Pakistan and Pakistan Armed Forces at the same time to construct projects such as roads, tunnels bridges, airfields and bridges dams, etc.
FWO as well as the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission has been working together since 1985 and has created various facilities. The most significant initiative of the organisation was to create the brand new Karakoram Highway.
