You must have or plan to apply for a residence permit for skilled labor with an employer inNorway, or a or r permit for athletes or coaches.

The job must be usually full-time.

You must obtain authorization or approval if you plan to work in avocation (external site). For example, health personnel must attach an authorization or license from The Norwegian Directorate of Health (external site).


How to Apply for Norway Entry Visa

Apply at the Norwegian Embassy

Send a request for a visitor’s Visa. However, please indicate that you would like to be granted an Entry Visa (D visa).

If you have not submitted your application for residence permit yet, you will need to submit all documents from the checklist of skilled workers .

Your request for an entry visa will be considered by the embassy. If your request is denied, you have the right to appeal to the embassy. The embassy will then review your application. The embassy will review your application again before it is sent to the UDI.
