Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): 1st Period Apprentice. First Aid Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Working at heights training. Experience: Will train. Additional Skills: Supervise other workers. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Instruct apprentices. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Area of Specialization: Skylights. Conventional and inverted built-up system. Rigid pre-formed roofing system. Single ply sheet membrane roofing system. Modified roofing system. Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Work Setting: Residential. Industrial. Commercial. Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract). Criminal record check. Own Tools/Equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Work Site Environment: Dangerous. Outdoors. At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver’s licence. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment. 
Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Large workload. Overtime required. Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install sheet metal flashings. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
