Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver’s License (Class 1 or A). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. AZ class license. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Air Brakes Endorsement. Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Experience: Experience an asset. Communication Systems Experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Citizens band (CB) radio. Specific Skills: Load and unload goods. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety vest. Cellular phone. Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation. Valid driver’s licence. Drive manual transmission vehicle. Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer. Flatbed. Dry bulk. Dump truck. Transportation/Travel Experience: Local. Personal Suitability: Flexibility. Team player. Reliability. Organized. Screening questions: Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?.
